Breaking: Ralph Northam has Won the Governor’s Race in Virginia

Fairfax, Virginia: According to the Associated Press, CNN, NBC, and other news outlets, Democrat Ralph Northam has defeated Republican Ed Gillespie for the Virginia gubernatorial race. Although Gillespie has not conceded to Northam, he is expected to deliver his concession speech within the hour. 78% of the vote is in with Northam having 52% of the vote and Gillespie having 47%.

President Donald Trump tweeted, “Ed Gillespie worked hard but did not embrace me or what I stand for. Don’t forget, Republicans won 4 out of 4 House seats, and with the economy doing record numbers, we will continue to win, even bigger than before!”

In addition, Justin Fairfax (LT. Governor) and Mark Herring (Attorney General), both Democrats have won. This was a clean sweep for the Democrats in Virginia.
